 The Sacrificial Dance of Thanksgiving

Psalm 107:22

Let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing.

Are you declaring Gods works by offering the sacrifice of thanksgiving? Every day we should have an attitude of praise. In Romans 12:1 Paul wrote, I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. The sacrificial dance of thanksgiving is offering our bodies in covenant with God, acknowledging that he is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, ruler of heaven and earth. As we come before his presence with thanksgiving, let us remember what he has done for us as we present our bodies a living sacrifice.

As dance ministers of the gospel it is important for us to practice a worship lifestyle. This type of lifestyle is lived with a close relationship to God, trusting him, thanking him, and worshiping him for every challenge you go through. Whatever you have suffered or are experiencing, one of God’s most important promises is so sweet and simple: (Romans 8:28) “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.”

All the pain Jesus suffered on the cross, he was still able to look beyond the death and burial to find joy up ahead for his purpose. Let’s offer the sacrifice of thanksgiving and tell him thank you as we abound in the labor of the lord! Let’s bury the tribulations we have suffered, so we can thank him in the dance and move forward without bitterness to complete the purpose God has for our life. This is the sacrificial dance of Thanksgiving!

        Praise the Lord!
