Types of Dance styles:

Praise Dance- This is a dance of thankfulness, Joy, and happiness. We offer God a sacrifice of praise by rejoicing in dance for what he has done for us. (Exodus 15:20) reminds us us how Miriam the prophetess took the timbrel in her hand and all the other women followed her as they danced for joy to celebrate their deliverance by the mighty Hand of God

Prophetic- Prophetic is the forth telling of God's word for a particular situation and people. In prophetic dance, the dancer hears a word from God and delivers it through expressive movement for a particular people.

(Judges 11:30)

Travail - A victory dance by faith, thanking God for answers to prayers before they are seen. It is confessing and showing that God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above anything. The movements of the dance of travail can vary according to the leading of the Holy Spirit. To travail means to believe and trust God will work it out for you. (Psalms 11:30)

Warfare – This type of dance involves spiritual expressive movements of warfare such as punching, stomping and kicking. It is a bold dance full of confidence and faith which demonstrates fighting the battle.  This type of dance brings deliverance and breakthrough.

(Psalms 18:33-34)

Liturgical - This refers to dance that uses prayer movements of the mind, body and spirit to lead us to Christ.  It stems from the root word liturgy meaning a rite or body of rites prescribed for public worship.

Worship – This type of dance expresses loving passion from the spirit of the dancer to honor and glorify God. (Psalms 5:7)
